New Stimulus Checks in June? This was the news that jumped out during May and which we echoed, but which was soon denied. However, then came the surprise with a state that just announced a round thanks to which you will receive $2000. The best part? All you have to do is meet these six criteria and you will be “gifted” money in a direct payment.
New $2000 Stimulus Checks payment coming in June? All you have to know
The biggest Tax Refund of the year will be called in the form of Stimulus Checks, as usual. This is the way you can receive up to $2000 if you have overpaid the IRS during the year (as was the case with the program we explained in May).
Unlike other calls, in this case, it is a generic one at the federal level, it will not be distributed or differentiated according to the different states. This means that the payment dates will also, in principle, be the same, although they will only vary depending on the day on which you fill in the application form.
Are you eligible for this new $2000 Stimulus Check in June?
Stimulus payments are given based on some conditions and therefore, to receive stimulus payments, you should meet any of the following requirements. These include:
- U. S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status: Stimulus payment is only available to people with a U. S citizenship, and residency with a valid social security number.
- Income Thresholds: The rules are applied depending on the adjusted gross income (AGI) and payments may be limited to full if the AGI of the recipient is less than the specified limits.
- Households with an AGI of up to $75 000 for single individuals or heads of households or up to $150 000 for married couples filing jointly were eligible for the full amounts in the first and second rounds of stimulus cheques.
- In the third round, the credit amount was $150,000 for married couples filing jointly, but only $0 for the exchequer to be paid for the third round of credit for the tax year of 2017-2018, where the earnings of the couple were $200,000 or more.
Three keys more to know if you are eligible for these new Stimulus Checks
In addition to the above requirements, others are repeated in all the calls for applications (also in the nationwide ones) and that we are going to detail below. Keep them in mind so that you can receive the money and do not have any negative surprises, which have already happened:
- Valid Social Security Number: Fill out the new Form 1040 features a Recovery Rebate Credit section to allow filers to claim missed stimulus checks for eligible taxpayers. As mentioned in the paper, the requirement is that you must have a valid Social Security number issued before the original tax return filing to be qualified for the Recovery Rebate Credit.
- Filing Status: It is important to note that the number of stimulus payments that you can get depends on the filing status that you use on your tax returns. For instance, those liable to pay taxes for a couple filing a joint return got double the amount given to those who filed as singles.
- Dependents: The amount increases if you have dependent children or dependents who are over the age of 60, in the case of adult dependents.
This new $2000 Stimulus Check in June seems to be the best news so far this month (although we have just started). It’s certainly a relief after the disappointment of the $12,000 payments being left behind in a rumor that spread as fast as only fake news can do. In this case, rest assured, we have done fact-checking and everything goes within the programs officially established by the IRS.
